Desk
This is probably my second favorite additions to our house. I’ve had a bunch of different office setups in my life, yet, always wanted something specific.
The important feature of this desk was that it needed to disappear for when the murphy bed is opened for company. The two walls have french cleats which hold the back of the desk up, with the two “V” legs supporting the longer end. The legs are also detatachable by removing the bolts secured with the hurricane clips. (frequent hurricanes in this office)
lumbah! most of this was for the Muphy Bed
i should have bought more
black walnut edge banding cut
didn't have the length for a full piece of walnut, instead, added a miter to two cutoffs
smaller piece of desk glue-up
checking placement
every desk needs a power outlet
larger section cut, edge banding attached
legs glue-up
legs attach to the desk with bolts into the plywood scraps
cords suck
scraps for the win
made a little stand for the computer
power strip/usb charger
