Siding
Full disclosure: I picked one of the hardest sidings, no, I did, it’s concrete. Hahaha. This is Hardie Plank siding that uses cement fibers to combine with sand, water and cellulose wood fibers. It’s very durable and will hopefully last for many years to come.
I also chose PVC boards for the trim around the exterior, which will should closely match the lifetime of the siding.
Now, I’ve never done siding before, but, Mike guided and helped me through much of the process. Also, HUGE shoutout to my wife who helped me remove almost 3/4 of the old clapboard and homesote over a weekend. BEST WIFE EVA!

these 2x4's at the peak were "proud" to the below face by 2", so, I had to move them back on 3 sides of the house. (otherwise the siding would bump out there)

I sold this Bosch sliding miter saw, but, with the combined stand, cutting the cement board was nice and easy
